ADMINISTRATOR REVIEWS ARRANGEMENTS IN THE CITY
Chandigarh, April 17
Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator Chandigarh, Sh. VP Singh Badnore today presided over Daily War Room meeting. The meeting was attended by Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser, UT, Chandigarh and Sh. Sanjay Beniwal, Director General of Police at Raj Bhawan. The Administrator also interacted with Sh. Arun Gupta, Principal Secretary (Home), Sh. AK Sinha, Finance Secretary, Sh. KK Yadav, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation and Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, Deputy Commissioners of Mohali & Panchkula, Director-PGIMER, Director Health Services and Director Principal, GMCH through Video Conferencing.
With the discharge of one more patient from PGIMER, the number of active COVID cases in Chandigarh have reduced to 11. The Administrator expressed his happiness at this development and thanked the Doctors and Health Workers for their continuous hard work and commitment. He also thanked the Police Force for maintaining curfew effectively. He instructed Director Health Services, Dr. G. Dewan to ensure that private doctors running clinics and dispensaries are trained properly in handling COVID cases, so that the unfortunate situation, as happened in Panchkula does not arise here.
