Doda, A Ayush Health Center in Udhampur area of Doda district is closed since its opening in the area and no health worker or official is present there to take care of people.
Especially since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, this sub center remained closed and people have to rely on pharmacy shops in the village for medicines for simple ailments.
And in case of any emergency, they travel all the way to Doda town to see a doctor.
“This health center has to cater to 25000 people in the area but since it is closed, people don’t have any choice but to travel to Doda town. As commercial transport is closed due to COVID-19 pandemic, it has become difficult for people to travel,” said Ashiq Hussain a resident of the village.
He demanded that administration should provide some relief and send a doctor who can look after people and provide medicines to people.
