Jammu, DC Doda Inaugurated Refrigerator Van

Doda, May 12, 2020: District Development Commissioner, Doda, Dr. Sagar D Diofode today inaugurated a special vehicle by the Department of Agriculture for safe access to vegetable markets and keeping vegetables cold. District Development Commissioner Doda said that a special vehicle has been introduced by the Agriculture Department to ensure safe delivery of farmers’ produce to the markets. The weather and terrain are favorable for vegetable production in Doda district and a large variety of different types of vegetables are grown here.

Therefore, keeping in view the hard work of the farmers, a vehicle for keeping vegetables cold was inaugurated today. He further said that the vehicle will go to every place in the district where farmers prepare vegetables in their fields.  This special vehicle will be delivered to Jammu market. Earlier, farmers used to transport vegetables to the market by truck, but in summer, a large quantity of vegetables would go bad.
