• The Census is currently going on. It began on March 12, 2020, and most people should have received an invitation to the Census on their email or an actual form. You can fill this online from your home and it should not be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. You can carry out your role to protect democracy in America by responding to it.

How to Respond to the Census?

• Responding to the Census has never been easier as you can do it at home via the internet or phone without the need to meet anyone at all.

Online

• You can use an ID code that the Census Bureau sends you to login to their website and complete the census. Even without it you can still fill the census on their website.

Phone

• You can also contact a Census Bureau Representative by calling on the number 1-844-330-2020 between 7 a.m. and 1 a.m.

Mail

• If you received your Census form via mail, then you would have also received a postal-paid envelope with it for mailing the form back. In case you have lost the envelope, you can mail your survey to:

• You need to submit only one response for the entire household which should include everyone – including children.

Is Census Private?

• Yes, the Census Bureau has the strongest privacy protections in federal law. Private information of the Census Bureau is never published, and it is illegal for the Bureau to do such an act. This information can also not be disclosed to anyone including other bodies of the federal government such as law enforcement.

Will There Be a Citizenship Question?

• No, the Supreme Court has blocked the government from adding a citizenship question to the 2020 Census.

Where Should College Students Be Counted?

• College students should be counted at their college addresses. This is including if they are currently at home due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
