Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has paid rich floral tributes to the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary at historic Ridge Shimla today.
On the occasion, the Governor said that Atal Ji was a preceptor of good governance. We need to take forward the lesson of good governance by uniting everyone, he added. He said that the example of good conduct given to us needs to be adopted in life today.
He was a legendary and visionary leader who defined the highest values of leadership and his contribution for the development of the country would always be remembered. He was a statesman, kind heart and the one of the tallest leader of Indian politics who always remained upright for the cause of the nation said the Governor.
Local MLA Harish Janartha, MLA from Jubbal & Kotkhai Rohit Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Aaditya Negi, senior officers and other prominent people were also present on the occasion.
