Jammu And Kashmir Government Notification on the Opening of Shops.

Department of disaster management, committee through its order have issued various instruction on the opening of shops as per the guidelines of MHA.

As per the circular Government of India vide its Order No.40-312020-DM-I(A) dated 24.04.2020, has made certain amendments in the consolidated revised guidelines related to the on-going COVID-lockdown.

Whereas, the said amendments permit the inclusion of some more commercial and private establishments in the list of permissible activities during the period of lockdown.

So it Further says that in the exercise of powers conferred upon me, in my capacity as the Chairperson of State Executive Committee, under Section 24 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, it is clarified that following shops and establishments shall be allowed to operate in pursuance of MHA’s order referred to above:

Permission in Rural areas  Permitted with local arrangements on timing/ spacing for ensuring physical distancing:

Allowed:- Shops except for eateries with sit-in facilities, Anema halls, malls, restaurants, parlors, saloons, gymnasiums, sports complexes, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls, and similar places.

Not Allowed:-Shops and establishments in single-brand and multi-brand Malls.

In Urban areas Permitted with local arrangements on timing/ spacing for physical distancing

Allowed:- All standalone shops/neighborhood shops/ shops in residential complexes, except eateries with sit-in facilities, cinema halls, malls, restaurants, parlors, saloons, gymnasiums, sports complexes, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls, and similar places.

Not Allowed: Shops in Malls, Markets (with Clusters of shops like Bazaars) and market complexes except permissible shops selling essential items like groceries, fruits, vegetables, bakeries, etc.
