Jammu youth shot dead in Mohali in front of CP 67 Mall in Mohali, suspect of gang war

A youth has been shot dead in front of CP 67 shopping mall in Mohali. According to the information, about 15 shots have been fired in which one person has been killed. The youth who was killed in this incident has been identified as Rajesh Dogra, who is a resident of Jammu, but who did the firing is currently being investigated by the police.

A notorious criminal namely Rajesh Dogra @ Mohan Cheer S/o Ved Parkash R/o Reasi A/p Talli Morh New plot Jammu who was booked under various FIRs but was evading his arrest since the lodge of FIRs, has finally been arrested and booked under Sec. 8 (1) (a) of J&K Public Safety Act 1978.

Police spokesperson said that Jammu Police was looking for the above mentioned accused, finally intelligence was generated and on a tip off, dedicated police teams of PS Bakshi Nagar constituted under the supervision of SHO PS Bakshi Nagar Inspr Ravi Kant assisted by I/C PP Sarwal PSI Satyajeet did strenuous efforts and arrested the accused.

It is pertinent to mention that accused is a notorious criminal and having habitual criminal activities not only in the Jammu district but also in another districts of J&K UT. He was also involved in various criminal cases such as murder, attempt to murder, possession of illegal weapons etc. by using dangerous weapons against the peaceful and law-abiding citizens. Moreover, 07 criminal cases had been registered against him and he was also history sheeter of Bakshi Nagar Police station and has been using his contacts to build a new network for organized crime in Jammu region along with his old associates.

Accused have been involved in following different cases including FIR No. 77/1993 U/S 307/302/34 RPC, 3/25 A. Act P/S Pacca Danga, FIR 201/1996 U/S 307/302/147/148/34 RPC, 4/25 A. Act of P/S Pacca Denga, FIR 56/1998 U/S 307/148/149 RPC, 3/25 A. Act of P/s City Jammu, FIR 147/1998 U/S 302/34 RPC 3/25 A. Act of P/S Udhampur, FIR 89/2006 U/S 3/25 A. Act of P/s Gangyal, FIR 140 /2006 U/S 302 RPC 3/25 A. Act of P/s Bahu Fort Jammu and FIR 79 /2020 U/S 4/25 A. Act of P/s Gharota Jammu. Finally PSA has been executed by Police station Bakshi Nagar.
