Union Home Minister Amit Shah has met the family of Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Musewala.
The meeting took place at Chandigarh airport.
On May 29, Sidhu Musewala was killed by unidentified assailants in Mansa district of Punjab.
It is possible that during this time Musewala’s family members have demanded a CBI inquiry into the Sidhu murder case, because even after 7 days, Musewala’s killers are far from the reach of Punjab Police.
According to Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Moosewala’s family had earlier written to Shah seeking a probe by central agencies into the brutal murder of the famous Punjabi singer. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had on Friday visited Musewala’s house and assured his family that the singer’s killers would be put behind bars soon.
