A man was arrested for allegedly spreading rumors about the communal riots in West Delhi’s Nihal Vihar area. Abhishek Shukla, a 24 years old man, had been arrested in Delhi. This was confirmed by the police.
“The Cyber Crime Cell of Delhi Police arrested Shukla for spreading rumors about riots in Nihal Vihar. He has over 10,000 followers on social media, and was using that particular platform to spread rumors.” -a senior police officer.
The mobile phone which has been recovered from the man confirms that the post has been updated from his profile on the social media, the police added.
