Telephone conversation between PM Modi and President of the Russian Mr. Putin
A telephonic conversation was held between the prime ministers of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, and Mr. Vladimir V. Putin, the President of the Russian Federation H.E. they discussed the global situation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his good wishes for the early recovery of all those citizens of Russia who are suffering from the deadly disease. And also expressed hope that the efforts of Russia which is being led by Russian Prime Minister Putin to fight against the disease will be successful. President Putin also conveyed his good wishes for the success of the measures that have been adopted in India to fight the Covid-19.
Both the leaders agreed on further consultation and co-operation along with addressing all the challenges faced by this global crisis, along with those pertaining to the health, medicine, scientific research, humanitarian matters, and the impact on the global economy. They were stressed about the ongoing conditions of the earth, also they stressed the significance of the International cooperation for the unitedly fighting with Coronavirus, including within the framework of G20.
The Prime Minister had appreciated the co-operation of the Russian authorities and also ensured the well-being of the Indian students in Russia and hoped that the would-be continued. President Putin also assured all the help and support in this regard. PM Modi ensured President Putin that the Indian authorities are concerned about the Russian nationals staying in India, and ensuring that they will continue to facilitate the efforts in all the possible manners to ensure the well-being and an organized return to their country, as and when required.
They also agreed to continue their close co-operation to maintain the excellent momentum and the warmth of the cordial and time-tested bilateral relations.
