CM offers floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, state leaders and people from different walks of life offered floral tributes on memorial of Mahatma Gandhi at the historic The Ridge, here today on 151^st birth anniversary of the Father of Nation.

Chief Minister also offered floral tributes on the memorial of former Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shashtri on his   birth anniversary. Chief Minister termed him as an apostle of simplicity, peace and harmony.

The artists of Information and Public Relations presented devotional songs on the occasion associated with the life of Mahatma Gandhi.

Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, MLA Rakesh Singha, Mayor Municipal Corporation Shimla Satya Kaundal, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Amit Kashyap, SP Shimla Mohit Chawala and several people from different walks of life also paid floral tributes to Mahatma  Gandhi and late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.
