Governor Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur have condoled the sad demise of former Director General of Police, Himachal Pradesh Ashwani Kumar, who died in his residence at Brockhurst, Shimla yesterday. Ashwani Kumar has also served as Governor of Nagaland and Director CBI.
Governor has expressed grief on his death and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Chief Minister said that Ashwani Kumar had rendered his services with utmost dedication and would always be remembered by the people of the state.
Jai Ram Thakur has also prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.
