• Chandigarh 17 March: Haryana Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister, Sh. JP Dalal said that a Government AVLDD college is being constructed at Lakhnaur Sahib in Ambala on behalf of the State Government for the VLDD diploma and graduate studies in veterinary and animal science. Classes will commence from the next academic session.
• While responding to a question during the Vidhan Sabha session today, Sh. Dalal said that 60 youths will be given admission to degrees in veterinary and animal science in this college. He said that Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar and International Institute of Veterinary Sciences & Research, Rohtak in Bahu Akbarpur, award VLDD diploma and Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary and Animal Science in the state. There are 80 seats each in veterinary and animal science courses and undergraduate degree of five and a half years and LD diploma of two years is being conducted.
• Sh. Dalal said that one state diploma college, LUVAS and 11 private diploma colleges are also recognized for VLD diploma in the state. 783 youths are undergoing graduation in Veterinary and Animal Sciences besides LD Diploma. He said that to start a new private college, it is mandatory to seek affiliation with LUVAS and Veterinary Council as per the norms and conditions.
