Haryana Government is making concerted efforts to ensure that there is an adequate supply of oxygen for the treatment of Covid patients in the State.
- Chandigarh, June 16: Haryana Governments is making concerted efforts to ensure that there is an adequate supply of oxygen for the treatment of Covid patients in the State. In the same series the oxygen plant at Civil Hospital, Pataudi was made operational ensuring an adequate supply of oxygen in the hospital. The second wave of the dreaded pandemic left the country reeling under the dearth of oxygen supply, however, with the quick reaction of the State Government hospitals and health centres were able to meet the demand of oxygen.
- Giving information in this regard an official spokesperson said that under CSR five plants have been set up in Gurugram including one each in ESI, Sector 9, Government Hospital, Sector 10, and one each in Sohna and Pataudi. A total of six oxygen plants have already been set up with the amalgamated efforts of State and Central Government in Panchkula, Hisar, Karnal, Ambala, Sonipat, and Faridabad. He said that arrangements, including buying and transporting oxygen from other states, refilling and delivering of oxygen cylinders to patients in home isolation, oxygen concentrators for step-down patients, setting up of isolation wards, oxygen equipped beds and distribution of Covid kits for patients in isolation, were made by the State.
- Due to the ongoing second wave of COVID-19 pandemic demand for the medical facilities has risen unprecedentedly which had shaken the supply system initially but now the on ground situation has improved and an adequate amount of oxygen supply is available and State is prepared to face any situation now. The State Government is working towards setting up more such plants to help with the treatment of COVID-19.
