Haryana Police has arrested eight accused who kidnapped three persons and demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh, and rescued all three victims within one-and-a-half hours of the case being reported in Hisar district.

  • Chandigarh, July 26 – Haryana Police has arrested eight accused who kidnapped three persons and demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh, and rescued all three victims within one-and-a-half hours of the case being reported in Hisar district.
  • Giving this information here today, a Haryana police spokesperson informed that arrested accused were identified as Sandeep, Baljit, Mohit (from Haryana) and Sonu, Chotu, Sandeep, Sohanlal and Sonu, all natives of Lakheempur in Uttar Pradesh.
  • The incident came to light when a relative of Mahendra filed a complaint with police station Agroha that his brother-in-law had been kidnapped and abductors were demanding a ransom of Rs 50 lakh for his safe release. Acting swiftly, police formed special teams which investigated all angles and cracked the case in just one and half hour.
  • Primary probe reveals that arrested accused Baljit and Surendra alias Sindar, had been planning for several days to kidnap Mahendra for ransom. As Mahendra’s brother Mittu and Pradeep were the drivers of Radheshyam, CMD of Future Maker Company, they may have CMD’s money. Then they involved Sandeep and Mohit in the conspiracy. They first kidnapped Mahendra on the pretext of showing him a car and came to Azad Nagar, Hisar. According to the plan, four kidnappers called Mahendra’s brother Mittu and Vinod to Hisar. All three were kept in an old house built in Azad Nagar in the custody of five other accused – Sonu, Chhotu Sandeep, Sohanlal and Sonu.
  • Then the abductors made a ransom call demanding Rs 50 lakh. A case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway. Teams were dispatched to nab accused Surendra alias Sinder, he added.
