Chandigarh, April 17 – Haryana Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh said that 24 hours power supply is being provided in 5600 villages of the state. He further said that the government is making consistent efforts to provide uninterrupted power supply to every village in the state by the upcoming year.

The Power Minister was addressing the problems of the people in ‘Khula Darbaar’ organised at Rania on Sunday. He addressed the public issues raised by the people of more than 50 villages and gave directions to the concerned officers to find solutions accordingly.

He said that the Department is making continuous efforts to reduce the power line loss percentage which will significantly benefit the corporation. Tubewell connections are being distributed to the farmers. The portal for new connections will be opened after three months. Haryana is at number one in the country in providing tubewell connection operated at solar energy. So far about 33,000 connections have been given under Kusum Solar Yojana. The Government has set a target providing 50,000 connections, which will be completed soon.

The Power Minister said that the development of the state is possible only with the participation of all citizens. He directed the officers to ensure that the public would face no problem in the getting their works done and the problems of common man should be taken up on priority basis.

The Power Minister said that the government is working under the policy of zero tolerance in corruption. Therefore, if any officer and employee is found involved in corruption, then strict action will be taken against him. All basic facilities will be provided to the people in the state. My first priority is to solve the problems of needy people, he added.
