Haryana Tourism and Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that once again the teachings of the holy book Gita will reverberate throughout the world from the holy land of Haryana, Dharmakshetra-Kurukshetra.

*Tourism Minister inaugurated the Shilp and Saras Mela as part of International Gita Mahotsava.
Chandigarh, December 2 – Haryana Tourism and Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that once again the teachings of the holy book Gita will reverberate throughout the world from the holy land of Haryana, Dharmakshetra-Kurukshetra. The essence of the whole world is contained in this message itself. To take these holy teachings to the whole world, global Gita lessons are being organized during the International Gita Mahotsav.
Sh. Kanwar Pal was speaking after inaugurating the Shilp and Saras Mela of International Gita Mahotsava 2021 on the holy banks of Brahmasarovar on thursday. Earlier, the Shilp and Saras Mela of International Gita Mahotsava 2021 began with the chanting of 21 Brahmins and the melodious echo of the conch shell. In his address, the Tourism Minister said that Gita Jayanti is being celebrated as International Gita Mahotsava for many years and due to the efforts of the State Government this festival has been promoted globally.
The Minister said that in this Shilp and Saras Mela, craftsmen from different states have arrived with very beautiful crafts of their respective states. MLA, Sh. Subhash Sudha and other senior officers were present on the occasion.

*Media Centre also inaugurated*

Sh. Kanwar Pal and Sh. Subhash Sudha also inaugurated the Media Centre of International Gita Mahotsava-2021. He said that with this form of Gita Mahotsava 2021, the dream of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal is being fulfilled. Kurukshetra is a holy land which has a rich history and is the land from where Lord Krishna delivered the celestial message of Gita.
Maa Bhadrakali Temple, Brahmasarovar, Jyotisar and many other places of interest are refreshing the culture and heritage of Haryana. Work is being done to further develop these as tourist destinations. He said that this tourist spot is being developed under Shri Krishna Circuit and a huge statue of Lord Shri Krishna has been established in Jyotisar. Apart from this pilgrimages in the 48 kos area of Kurukshetra are also being developed.
