Haryana’s Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sh. Sandeep Singh has said that every effort will be made to ensure that no sportsperson’s career will be spoiled due to lack of facilities.
- Chandigarh, June 21: Haryana’s Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sh. Sandeep Singh has said that every effort will be made to ensure that no sportsperson’s career will be spoiled due to lack of facilities.
- Sh. Sandeep Singh was interacting with Sunita Kashyap, an international weightlifting and strong lifting athlete who came to meet the Sports Minister in his office today.
- He said that Sunita has proved herself by achieving laurels even in adversity. He announced financial assistance to Sunita Kashyap and also directed the District Sports Officer of Rohtak over phone that like Sunita, other players should not lack sports facilities. He directed the Sports Department to make immediate arrangements for Sunita’s training. He also gave career-related tips to Sunita and even discussed a diet plan.
- On this occasion, Sunita Kashyap and her family expressed their gratitude to the Sports Minister. She said that the Sports Minister had assured her of all possible help over the phone and invited her today to motivate her to pursue a career in sports.
- It is worth mentioning that Sunita Kashyap is an international player of power and strength lifting from Sisar Khas village of Rohtak. Due to poor financial condition, she was working hard to meet the expenses of her training and sports. Not only this, her father had to take a loan of Rs. 2 lakh to send her to the competition held in Bangkok. Now as soon as the matter came to the notice of the Sports Minister, he has come forward to help the athlete.
