Haryana Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that the health facilities in the hospitals of the state will be as per the World Health Organization (WHO) standards.

  • Chandigarh, June 3- Haryana Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that the health facilities in the hospitals of the state will be as per the World Health Organization (WHO) standards. Besides this, the number of beds, doctors and other staff in each district will be on the basis of population in accordance with the WHO standards.
  • In this regard, today a meeting was held with the senior officers of the Medical Education and Research and Health Department.  Health Minister said that PSA oxygen plants would be installed in hospitals and medical colleges having 30 or more beds so that there is no shortage of oxygen when required. All the beds in these hospitals will be equipped with oxygen, ventilator and other necessary facilities will be available as per the national standards.  Along with this, the number of ICU beds will be determined based on the capacity in the hospitals.  Apart from this, refresher courses for all doctors, training of paramedical staff and technical staff will also be done.
  • The Health Minister said that e-upchar should be extended to the Primary Health Centres of the state,  which will enable digital dashboard to provide information about treatment related facilities in all the hospitals of the state. He said that catering facility would be made available in all the hospitals of the state for the convenience of the patients.  He further added that nutritious food will be provided to the patients according to their disease on the advise of the dietician.  For this, the National Health Mission is increasing the budget of Haryana by 15 per cent for 2021-22.
  • Sh. Vij said that the facility of e-Sanjeevani treatment, started by the Central Government in the state, would be made available 24 hours a day.  In addition, testing labs in hospitals with more than 100 beds will be upgraded, which will be NABL certified.  He instructed to  install blood separator machines in blood banks of hospitals so that different parts of blood can be made available to the patients as per the requirement. He said that rationalization of doctors and other staff posted in different districts of the state would be done and as per requirement posts would be created so that proper and qualified staff could be made available in all hospitals.
  • Among other officers, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education and Research, Sh. Alok Nigam, Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Sh. Rajeev Arora, HMSC Managing Director, Dr. Saket Kumar, CFDA Sh. Mohd. Shayin,  Mission Director of National Health Mission, Sh. Prabhjot Singh, DMER, Dr. Shaleen were present in the meeting.
