Governor Rajendera Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur have congratulated the Media of the State on the eve of National Press Day.
The Governor, while extending his greetings to the media fraternity, said that this occasion will reinforce the commitment of the people towards freedom of Press.
In his felicitation message, Chief Minister said that being the fourth pillar of democracy, the media plays an important role in shaping the view of the society, besides acting as a bridge between the people and the governments. He hoped that in the changing scenario, the digital media has emerged as strongest tool of prompt information and the media persons needs to be more careful while reporting.
