A separate library facility has been provided at Himachal Pradesh Raj Bhavan, so that visitors and Raj Bhawan staff can get books to study. Governor Bandaru Dattatraya inaugurated library-cum-conference hall at Raj Bhavan today. He also presented a set of books for the library on his own behalf.
On the occasion, the Governor said that due to the availability of electronic facilities, people were becoming less fond of reading books. Whereas, books were not only means of knowledge but also a good friend. He said that such libraries should be developed institutionally so that it developed reading habits. He directed the Raj Bhavan Secretariat to compile books related to various fields.
Secretary to the Governor Rakesh Kanwar welcomed the Governor on the occasion and made him aware of the facilities provided in the newly constructed conference room.
