A spokesperson of the State Government informed here today that a fake video was being made viral on social media regarding massive traffic jams in Himachal Pradesh and tourists were evacuating the state in large numbers.
The spokesperson said that the video was fake and misleading and does not pertain to the Himachal Pradesh. He said that the roads in the state are open and there are no such traffic jams in any part of state. He said that the tourists are welcomed in the state and are requested to follow Covid appropriate behaviour.
He urged the tourists to avoid going near water bodies especially fast flowing rivers and rivulets and to be careful while driving in the hills. He also asked the tourists to be responsive towards the environment.
