488382.492 MT Paddy Procured on 18th day: Ashu

 

Chandigarh, 20 October:

The Government procurement agencies have procured 486951.492  metric tonnes of paddy in Punjab on 18th  day of procurement of this Kharif Season.

Disclosing this here today, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Punjab Mr. Bharat Bhushan Ashu said the Government procurement agencies procured total 4591761.349   MT and 34514 MT paddy procured by private Millers.

He said that a total of 4810011 metric tonnes of paddy has arrived in the state so far and out of which 4626275.349 metric tonnes of paddy has been Procured.

Mr. Ashu said department has cleared 5795.54 Cr. Rupee of farmers.
