PUNJAB TO SOON LAUNCH ANOTHER MEGA RECRUITMENT DRIVE: CS

Asks depts to share vacant posts; 7,848 already given govt jobs, 44,543 more vacancies being filled in state

CHANDIGARH, SEPTEMBER 15:

Marching ahead towards achieving the milestone of giving government jobs to one-lakh youth in the state, the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh-led Punjab Government will soon launch another mega recruitment drive to fill the vacant posts in various departments and in turn employ the deserving and eligible youth.

Disclosing this, here, the Chief Secretary, Ms Vini Mahajan, said all the administrative departments should share the vacant direct quota posts with the Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training department at the earliest to enable the launch of State Employment Plan’s second phase.

Chairing a meeting to review the State Employment Plan with the administrative secretaries, Ms Mahajan directed all the department heads to expedite the process of sending requisition of the remaining vacancies in their respective departments for filling them up to provide seamless and hassle-free services to the public.

Secretary, Employment Generation, Rahul Tiwari, apprised the Chief Secretary that 34 administrative departments have shared 22,441 direct quota vacancies for the second phase of the Punjab Government’s recruitment plan, which were over and above 61,336 vacancies approved earlier by the Cabinet committee.

Under the state government’s flagship employment generation programme, “Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission”, the Punjab Cabinet had approved the State Employment Plan on October 14, 2020, with a mandate to give 1-lakh government jobs to the eligible youth besides giving nod to fill 61,336 vacancies in various departments.

In less than a year, the state government has been able to recruit 7,848 qualified candidates besides initiating the process of filling 44,543 vacancies in various departments.

Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary also instructed all the departments, boards and corporations under the state government to ensure the implementation of e-office modules in their respective offices. She said the use of the e-office system will not only save time but will also help in doing the work in a paperless manner.

ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਅੱਜ ਇੱਥੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਵਿਨੀ ਮਹਾਜਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਕੀ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਕੋਟੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਖਾਲੀ ਪਈਆਂ ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਉਤਪਤੀ, ਹੁਨਰ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸੂਬਾਈ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪੜਾਅ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।

ਇੱਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਕੀ ਸਕੱਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੂਬਾਈ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦੀ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੱਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਮਹਾਜਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਾਲੀ ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਮੰਗ ਭੇਜਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਜਲਦ ਤੋਂ ਜਲਦ ਭਰਤੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਵਿਘਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਰਹਿਤ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ।

ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਉਤਪਤੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਤਿਵਾੜੀ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 34 ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਕੀ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਭਰਤੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪੜਾਅ ਲਈ 22,441 ਸਿੱਧੇ ਕੋਟੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਖਾਲੀ ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ 61336 ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਮੁੱਖ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ “ਘਰ ਘਰ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ” ਤਹਿਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੰਡਲ ਨੇ 14 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ, 2020 ਨੂੰ 61,336 ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਭਰਨ ਦੀ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ 1 ਲੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਰਾਜ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇੱਕ ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਘੱਟ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ 7,848 ਯੋਗ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 44,543 ਖਾਲੀ ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਭਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ, ਬੋਰਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਫ਼ਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਈ-ਆਫ਼ਿਸ ਦੇ ਲਾਗੂਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਈ-ਆਫ਼ਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਬੱਚਤ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਬਲਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਾਗਜ਼-ਰਹਿਤ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਣਗੇ।
