- Chandigarh, April 23 – On the occasion of World Book Day, Haryana Additional Chief Secretary, Power and New & Renewable Energy Department, Sh. PK Das said that books awaken the patriotism and national spirit among the youth. He added that books help develop the habit of dreaming big and the path to a better life goes through better books.
- Sh. Das said that Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) has set an example by setting up 11 more Sardar Patel Library Series in 10 districts of the State under its Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme. In order to illuminate the society with the light of knowledge, a trilogy of spirituality, knowledge and technology is being created where books/computers/kindles provide online knowledge in this period of Covid-19.
- Giving information about the library scheme, Managing Director, UHBVN, Sh. Shashank Anand said that in order to lift the society from the darkness and to fulfill the vision of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, UHBVN is working tirelessly towards this goal which was first initiated by Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal and implemented under the guidance of Haryana Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh in 2020. He said considering the success of library in Kachhwa, 11 more libraries are under construction at Biana and Gondar in Karnal, Adhaun in Kurukshetra, Bahadurpur and Rupauli in Yamunanagar, Rattewali and Ganeshpur in Ambala, Bhodwal Majri in Panipat, Ballour in Jhajjar, Bhali Anandpur and Patwapur in Rohtak.
