The Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 motorcycles were just introduced to the Indian market. The 660cc range, which gave rise to the roadster and sports tourer Trident and Tiger Sport, is another area of focus for the brand. The British motorbike manufacturer is prepared to move things forward at this point. There will be a super-sport motorcycle in the 660cc class. As a result, it heralds the arrival of Daytona, a highly renowned and eagerly awaited nameplate. On January 9, the all-new Triumph Daytona 660 will be revealed.
The Daytona 660 will have a full fairing with a dual headlamp setup for added visual appeal. The styling will resemble that of the previous generation Daytona. The upcoming model, though, is anticipated to resemble a sports tourer more in terms of design. The overall shape will be angular and have a significant amount of bulk for a commanding presence. On the teaser, the tiny DRL that was previously visible in between the headlamps is absent. The teaser also shows cowling on the underside with a “660” decal.
It’s possible that the Daytona is using a slightly altered version of the Trident 660’s platform to provide a sharper steering angle. The triple-cylinder, 660 cc engine will produce 80 bhp of peak power and 64 Nm of peak torque. It is possible to adjust the tuning to achieve a more aggressive throttle response.
On social media, Triumph India has once again hinted at the Daytona 660. The British bike manufacturer has provided a better look at its next middleweight model this time. But the Daytona 660 had already been seen in testing, and the spy photos had also shown off some of its design elements.
In contrast to the Daytona 675 that was previously sold, the 660 model appears to be considerably more laid back. Rather than being constructed like a supersports motorcycle, it looks to be a sports tourer. The fuel tank appears to jut out from the top edges, the clip-on handles are positioned high, and a transparent visor sits atop the split LED headlights. In addition, Triumph is probably going to choose an underbody exhaust system for the new Daytona.
