Ayodhya’s Pran Pratishtha Ritual Day Five Highlights

Ayodhya’s Pran Pratishtha Ritual: Day Five Highlights and Insights on Ramlala Statue.

As Ayodhya’s grand Pran Pratishtha ritual reaches its fifth day on January 20, the city remains steeped in spiritual fervor. This significant event, which commenced on January 16, has drawn attention nationwide for its religious and cultural importance.

The fourth day of the ritual, January 19, marked a momentous occasion as the full image of the Ramlala statue was unveiled. For the first time, devotees and visitors witnessed the complete visage of Ramlala, a moment filled with reverence and awe.

However, a crucial aspect of the statue has sparked discussions and clarifications. Satyendra Das, the esteemed chief priest of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha area, addressed concerns regarding the depiction of the deity in the new statue. He emphasized that, according to traditional practices and beliefs, the eyes of the deity in the statue should not be exposed before the completion of the consecration process. The presence of a cloth covering the eyes is a critical element of the ritual.

Das pointed out that if the statue of Ramlala is shown without a cloth over its eyes, it contradicts the established consecration procedures. He urged for this matter to be investigated, ensuring that the sanctity and authenticity of the ritual are upheld.

This development highlights the intricate details and deep-rooted traditions that form the essence of Hindu rituals. The Pran Pratishtha ceremony, a process of infusing life into a deity’s idol, is a testament to the rich cultural and spiritual tapestry of India.

As the ritual progresses, devotees continue to throng to Ayodhya, immersing themselves in the spiritual ambiance and witnessing the historic events unfolding in the city. The Pran Pratishtha ritual not only reinforces the religious significance of Ayodhya but also showcases the profound devotion and cultural heritage of the Hindu community.
