Every year there are so many important days which hold importance than any other usual day like, festival, historical day or a day of international importance which occurs every month. June is the sixth month of the year and named after Roman goddess Juno. Here is the list of all important days of June 2021. 1 June- World Milk Day

The first day of June marks World Milk Day which acknowledges the contribution of milk and other dairy products in the society in relevance to the economic growth and development as the dairy sector helps in the sustainable development. 

1 June- Global Day of Parents

Every year on June 1 Global Parents Day is celebrated which marks to honour parents across the globe for their selfless love and lifelong support towards the children. 

2 June- International Sex Workers Day

Every year on June 2, The International Sex Worker’s Day is celebrated. This day was observed on June 2, 1975, after 100 of sex workers came together and raised concerns regarding their dishonourable working conditions and ethics. 

2 June- Telangana Formation Day

The name itself suggests that this day is celebrated to commemorate the day when the 29th state of the country was added. 2 June 2014, Telangana has been added as a state of India. 

3 June- World Bicycle Day

Every year on 3 June, World Bicycle Day is celebrated. The General Assembly of UN has announced that this day is celebrated in order to recognise the versatility and the environment- friendly nature of bicycles as a means of transport. Also, bicycles help us in keeping fit. 

4 June- International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression

Every year on 4 June, the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression is observed to raise awareness about the children who have faced any type of harassment in their life and to eradicate such a practice from society. 

5 June- World Environment Day

World Environment Day is a notable day of the year. Every year on 5 June, World Environment Day is celebrated. On this day many awareness programs are being done related to the protection of the environment around us. 

7 June- World Food Safety Day

Every year on 7 June World Food Safety Day is being observed, as food and its safety is highly important for our lives. Thus to be aware off the harmful consequences of the contaminated food and water, this day is celebrated. Also, it aims to eradicate diseases like food poisoning and jaundice too. 

8 June- World Brain Tumour Day

Every year on June 8, ‘The World Brain Tumour Day’ is observed to draw the attention of the people’s attention towards the disease like Brain Tumour. It has been also celebrated to spread awareness regarding the prevention of the disease and its treatment. 

8 June- World Oceans Day

Every year on June 8, World Oceans Day is celebrated to gain public attention towards the ocean and aquatic life. On this day many awareness programmes are being done regarding the conservation of the ocean and preventing it from water pollution. 

12 June- World Day Against Child Labour

Every year on 12 June, World Day Against Child Labour is observed. As child labour is a major area of concern so as to spread awareness about this the day is celebrated. 

14 June- World Blood Donor Day

Every year on 14 June World Blood Donor Day is celebrated to spread awareness about blood donation or blood donor. Also, all the blood donors get recognised for their contribution to a social cause. 

15 June- World Wind Day

Every year on June 15 World Wind Day is celebrated to encourage the advance wind energy for the activities like producing electricity etc. 

15 June- World Elder Abuse Awareness Day

Every year on 15 June World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is being celebrated to educate young minds about the importance of elder’s wellbeing. Several Awareness programmes are being organised.

17 June- World Day to Combat Desertification and drought

Every year on 17 June World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought is being celebrated since 1994 to create awareness about the repercussions of the Droughts and ways to combat the Desertification. Various unconventional ways are taught on this day to individuals in order to fight issues related to Desertification and Drought. This day has been developed by the UN General Assembly.

18 June- Autistic Pride Day

On this day autistic children and adults along with their families assemble together to celebrate their lives irrespective of all the life struggles and hardships on this day. 

18 June- International Picnic Day

‘Picnic Day’ is celebrated to enjoy quality time with family and friends outdoors on a picnic.

19 June- World Sickle Cell Awareness Day

Every year 19 June World Sickle Cell Awareness Day is celebrated to create awareness about this disease. The Sickle Cell Disease is a kind of disease which affects the haemoglobin level in our body in a massive way and this leads to lower oxygen in our body. 

19 June- World Sauntering Day

Every year on 19 June World Sauntering Day is celebrated to remind people that life is beyond worries and one should enjoy it to the fullest. 

20 June- World Refugee Day

This day highlights the trials and tribulations faced by the Refugees every day. Every year on 20 June World Refugee Day is celebrated to create understanding about how people can support the refugees by contributing to the welfare of the refugees. 

21 June- World Music Day

Every year on 21 June World Music Day is celebrated to cherish and gusto the Music on a global level. Also, to signify how music can bring harmony between the nation. 

21 June- World Hydrography Day

Every year on 21 June World Hydrography Day is observed to raise awareness about the International Hydrography Organisation and hydrography science. 

21 June- International Yoga Day

Every year on 3rd Sunday of June, International Yoga Day is celebrated. This year it occurs on 21 June. The day is celebrated to raise awareness about the inclusion of Yoga in our daily lives.

21 June- Father’s Day

‘Father’s Day’, is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of June each year. A day on which children thank their fathers with gifts and cards for their relentless support and selfless love for them. The day is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm internationally.

23 June- International Olympic Day

Every year on 23 June the International Olympic Day is observed to draw the focus of the people on the significance of sports in regular life. 

23 June- United Nations Public Service Day

The United Nations Public Service Day is celebrated on June 23  to recognise and facilitate the work of public servants towards society.

23 June- International Widow’s Day

On June 23 each year International Widow’s Day is being observed to spread awareness about human rights for widows who unfortunately suffer a lot of backlash post the demise of their respective spouses.

26 June- International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

Every year on 26 June International Day against Drug Abuse is observed. It has been created by the United Nations Generally Assembly to promote a Drug-free society. 

26 June- International Day in Support of Victims of Torture

‘International Day in Support of Victims of Torture’ is observed on June 26 every year to eliminate torture and other demonic activities relating to punishment and inhumane treatments.

30 June- World Asteroid Day

Every year on 30 June the World Asteroid Day is celebrated to remember the Siberian Tunguska asteroid. On this special day, many programmes relating to creating awareness about the study of Asteroids are also run by the UN, by providing online educations to an individual.
