Important Days in July – As we all know that there are some special days that will remember us about the incidents or festivals. The special days include different festivals, events, historic incidents, and some of the international or national days, which holds importance. July is the seventh month of the year and if we look at it with the point of view of festivals or events then it is one of the important months like the others. This month is named after the Roman Senate and the main motive of this is to give honor to Julius Caesar as it is the month of his birth.

List of Important Days in July

1 July- Doctors Day 

This day is dedicated to all the physicians and the doctors in India. Along with that, it is celebrated in the memory of the second chief minister of West Bengal Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. On this day, the whole nation remembers all the contributions given by Bidhan in the favor of humankind.

1 July- National Postal Worker Day

This day is dedicated to all the postal workers who work very hard to deliver our posts from the post office to our homes. On this day, the whole nation praises all the hard work made by postal workers every day.

1 July- Canada Day

This day is considered the anniversary of Canada as according to some of the historians on this day Canada became a country on this day. 

1 July- GST Day

On 1st July 2017, GST was implemented by the President of India to the Indian Economy. To memorize this implementation GST Day is celebrated. The launch has been marked by the historic midnight session of both the houses of parliament convened at the Central Hall of the Parliament.

1 July- Chartered Accountant’s Day

This day is more dedicated to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). You can consider this day as the anniversary of ICAI. 

1 July- National U.S. Postage Stamp Day

This day is dedicated to the ease and simple to use the procedure of mail. A stamp is considered as the representation of the delivery of the parcel. 

1 July- National Gingersnap Day

Gingersnap is like a cookie, which is made up of cloves, molasses, brown sugar, and ginger. This is taken as a sweet dish and if we look at the taste then it is more like a combination of a sweet and spicy dish.

2 July- World UFO Day

This day is dedicated to the awareness of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO). On this day, the whole world reads about history and some of the facts related to UFOs.

2 July- National Anisette Day

This day is dedicated to the Aniseed, which originated from Anise herb, and it gives the flavor of licorice and fennel flavor. 

3 July- National Fried Clam Day

This day is also dedicated to the famous food item named Fried Clams and this food is quite famous in England. You can easily find it on the roadsides of England. 

4 July- Independence Day USA

This day holds importance for the people of the United States. In the USA, the US Army celebrates this day with fireworks and parades. 

6 July- World Zoonoses Day

Zoonoses are one of the most infectious diseases which got spread with animals. This day is celebrated for remembering the time and how humans fight with that infection.

7 July- World Chocolate Day

Every year the World Chocolate Day is celebrated on 7 July every year. The celebration includes the consumption of chocolates on this day.

11 July- World Population Day

This day is celebrated to aware people of the increment in the population of the world. Along with this message, most of the people also spread the things that we can use for a better future. 

11 July- National 7-Eleven Day

The other name for this day is Free-Slurpee Day and the reason behind it is that in most of the countries, shopkeepers give free Slurpees to the people from 11 am to 7 pm.

12 July- National Simplicity Day

This day is celebrated to give honor to Henry David Thoreau who promoted the term simplicity and connects it with daily life. On this day most of people take out themselves from a busy schedule and live a simple and relaxed life.

12 July- Paper Bag Day

This day is more dedicated to the use of paper in bag making. Along with that, people take the support of campaigns for promoting the use of paper in bags in many countries

14 July- Bastille Day

This day is celebrated for the storming of Bastille, who was a military fortress and prison. This day is celebrated as a violent uprising, which helped people to know about their seats in the French Revolution.

14 July- Sri Guru Harkishan Sahib Ji Gurupurab

Guru Harkishan Sahib Ji who was also the 8th Guru of Sikhism was born on 14 July 1656. He became Guru at the age of 5. Every year this day is celebrated with a huge gathering and langar at Gurudwaras.

17 July- World day for International Justice

This day is also known as International Justice Day or International Criminal Justice Day. This day is mainly celebrated for the strengthening of the systems that promote international justice.

17 July- World Emoji Day

It is an unofficial holiday celebrated annually since 2014. The day is celebrated as a  “global celebration of the emoji”. 

18 July- International Nelson Mandela Day

These days are celebrated in the honor of Mr. Nelson Mandela. On this day, the people remember the great works done by Sir Nelson Mandela and his contributions in the field of freedom, peace, reconciliation, and human rights.

20 July- Eid-al-Adha (Bakrid)

Eid al Adha is also known as Eid Qurban, Qurban Bayrami, Tafaska tame rant, or the festival of sacrifice. It is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide every year. It honors the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God’s command. 

22 July- Pi Approximation Day

This day is celebrated as it helped in calculating the value of Pi, which helps in showing the relationship between the diameter of the circle and circumference. The value of Pi was calculated as 3.14 or 22/7.

24 July- Cousin’s Day

The day marks the importance of cousins in our life. Cousins are a very important part of our life and to celebrate these cousins come together to wish each other in their unique manner. 

24 July- National Thermal Engineers Day

This day is celebrated to honor the thermal engineers of the world. This day helps to know what our thermal engineers have done and what they are doing so that they can reduce the high heat of the Earth. 

25 July- National Refreshment Day

This day is celebrated on the hottest day of the year and without the refreshment, many people cannot survive. On this day, people used to send refreshments to poor people or needy people.

25 July- Nag Panchami

The day marks the importance of snakes. It is a traditional worship of nagas or snakes observed by the Hindus all over India, Nepal, and other countries where Hindus reside. According to the Hindu Calendar On the fifth day of the bright half of the lunar month of Shravana, worship is offered. 

26 July- Kargil Vijay Diwas

This day is celebrated to honor our Indian Armed forces for their bravery, which they showed for their fellow members who died in a terrorist attack done by Pakistan. On this day, they remember those brave souls and by talking about them. 

26 July- National Parent’s Day

This day is celebrated to honor the parents of the country by their children. This day is a very important day in the lives of many people as parents are the most important person in anyone’s life and celebrating a day for them is a lucky thing for the children.

28 July- World Nature Conservation Day

This day is celebrated to tell people about the importance of natural resources in the lives of the people. On this day, people go to different areas and tell people about the use of conservation of energy and how it can help.

28 July- World Hepatitis Day

This day is celebrated to spread awareness about the causes and the symptoms of the disease Hepatitis and they also tell what it is and if a person is affected by this disease then what can be the things that can take them out of it.

29 July- International Tiger Day

This day is celebrated to promote awareness about the tigers and how a person should protect them from getting extinct. This day is also known as Global Tiger Day also and helps the person to find methods, which help save tigers.

31 July- System Administrator Appreciation Day

The name used for this day is Sysadmin day and this is more like an event arranged by the administration. On this day, they will show appreciation towards the work of the different systems.
