The Governor of Haryana, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya on Wednesday said that officers of all departments should work with a sense of full responsibility and accountability to take the welfare schemes of the government to every needy person.

  • Chandigarh July 28 – The Governor of Haryana, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya on Wednesday said that officers of all departments should work with a sense of full responsibility and accountability to take the welfare schemes of the government to every needy person.
  • Sh. Dattatreya was interacting with the officers of various departments at Raj Bhavan during a courtesy meeting as per the pre-scheduled engagements. Those present during the interaction included Chief Information Commissioner Sh. Yashpal Singhal, Haryana’s Financial Commissioner, and Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Sh. SN Roy, Gurugram University Vice Chancellor, Dr. Markande Ahuja, and other officials and dignitaries.
  • Meeting separately with the senior officials, while getting information about the outline of the development programmes of the state, the Governor stressed that special attention should be paid to the quality of construction works in the state. He also discussed the possibilities of increasing revenue collection in the state.
  • Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya also advised them to explore how better work can be done by strengthening the cooperative institutions in the state so that every person gets associated with cooperative institutions through some schemes.
  • Sh. Dattatreya was apprised of the works of disaster management. He said that the department should review the works of disaster management from time to time so that the government infrastructure is ready at all times to deal with any situation.
  • Emphasizing to make education more job-oriented, the Governor said that courses should be started in all universities as per the present needs of the job market so that students do not have to wander here and there for employment after completing their education. He also said that all universities should implement the New National Education Policy-2020 with full preparation.
  • “The New Education Policy will give a new direction to the youths of the country and revolutionary changes will come in the field of education in the country,” he said.
  • Sh. Dattatreya also interacted with Ms. Aruna Reddy, World Cup Medallist in gymnastics on Wednesday itself. Ms. Reddy, who hails from Hyderabad, is currently taking gymnastics training in Ambala. A world class centre for gymnasts and indoor sports has been established at Ambala.
  • Congratulating Ms. Aruna Reddy, Sh. Dattatreya said that she should earnestly prepare for ‘Khelo India’ to be held in Haryana in 2022.
